Huge TV screens are everywhere, as are little ones, with a variety of confusing technologies to choose. Now tech industry insider Marty Winston tells us that the first choice is all about the room.

    The top two factors when choosing a new TV set are: how big is the room and how far will you sit from the set? Too overwhelmingly big a screen is uncomfortable to watch; too small is tiring. Try to remember that screen size in inches should be between 1 and 10 times the distance in inches.

Knowing the screen size can help narrow down choices among the different types of sets to give you a head start on shopping.
